Friday, July 14, 2017: Will Rogers State Beach Trash Report

Dateline: Friday morning, July 14, 2017 at "State Beach" at lifeguard tower #18, I walked the adjacent area near the water's edge and took photos of the uncollected #beachtrash left on the beach by the L.A. County Dept. of Beaches & Harbors (LACDBH).

A rusty metal hanger, below, partially buried in the sand. Tetanus anyone?!...

Below, I set this shaft of bamboo in the sand vertically along with some nearby uncollected #beachtrash in the hopes that LACDBH would see it and hand pick it up and remove it from the beach. No such luck, though, because it was still there when I walked by on Sunday mid morning (July 16th)... two days later!...

Above and below, at approx. 9:40 a.m., Friday morning, July 14, 2017...

Below, the same bamboo stick and #beachtrash that I observed at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2017.  In other words, LACDBH did ZERO hand picking up and disposal of #beachtrash along this stretch of Will Rogers State Beach near the water's edge on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 14 - 16th).  So much for daily or every day hand picking up and disposal of #beachtrash near the water's edge where most beach patrons sit and enjoy the sand and beach...
